Celtic Solstice Link-up #5

These blocks were even more fun than the last clue! I ended up cutting more pieces than I needed.

I was careful to finger press all the seams as Bonnie suggested, but I still had to trim everything.

After I made all the blocks for the small quilt, it wa time to play...

I'm pretty sure the finished design will not be any of these, but they are so much fun to play with.

Thanks again, Bonnie!  Here's the link to her party!

I'm off to sew…

Celtic Solstice Link Up #4

Wow! This last clue was even more fun than the previous three! I can't say how much I enjoyed making these little four squares. I don't know if it was because I was caught up on the other clues, but I just had a blast with these.

And the seams actually swirled!

Then, I felt kind of sad because I was caught up.  So I played with my squares…

I also splurged and bought this ruler, which has been incredibly useful. I would have preferred a creative grids, but I didn't want to wait to order by mail.

It's a long time to Friday.
But it is going to be a really busy week.
But maybe I should consider making the larger king size version…:-).

Thank you so much Bonnie!  Here's the link back to her blog.

Celtic Solstice Mystery Link Up

This is going to be my attempt at joining the link-up at Bonnie Hunter's blog for the Celtic Solstice Mystery Quilt.
I've read her tutorials, but I'm not sure how much I understand.
I'm not entirely sure what a widget is.

Well….

Anyway I am having way too much fun making these squares.

Still need trimming up.

I've also started clue #2.

I'm picking these neutrals...

These yellows…

And these "greens"…

This is (hopefully) the link back to her blog - Celtic Solstice Link-Up #2

 Here's everything cut up.

Mistake number 1

My first Chevron!

Assembly Line….

Now, I need to figure out how to put that widget up at the top….

Off to sew,

Day One

The purpose of this blog is to play more fully with the quilty world. I really enjoy visiting other quilty blogs and making quilts; however I can't participate in the linky parties and I feel sort of left out, because it does seem like so much fun….so here goes….

I currently have 3 quilts in progress.

A hexie quilt that I started this past April.

The Craftsy 2013 BOM quilt top that is finished but not yet quilted.

Terrible lighting and my daughter's foot in the corner. : )

The Craftsy Under the Starts quilt that I am finally piecing the blocks together on.

My Set Up

Trying to be neat

Blocks!

I'm also going to start Bonnie Hunter's Celtic Solstice Mystery Quilt. Eep! Bought my Trirecs ruler yesterday, $9 at Joann's and didn't need a coupon!

Oh, and I ordered another quilt kit from Craftsy - should be coming later this week. Have to start that too.

Love to be busy.

Now, I'm off to sew before I have to go pick up the kids from school.
